Principle No.1

Design your space to spark mystery.

Stoke curiosity. Craft connections between artifacts and the space.
You know you’re on the right track once the guest has asked the magical question “what is this?”

“The details are details. They make the product. The connections, the connections, the connections. It will in the end be these details that give the product its life.”

— Charles Eames

Principle No.2

Focus on filling your home with artifacts that speak to your most weird, outrageous, genuine self.

When someone enters your home they are there for you. You are the star of the show. Let your guest see who you are, what your beliefs are, and what you hold dear. Treat your home as an extension of you.

"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."

— William Morris

Principle No.3

Be bold with your design.
Use depth, weight, and color to push the limits.

Our design goal is to balance fun and function. A lot of stuff adorns our halls, but everything is carefully weighed and measured. Don’t lose sight of the fact that your home should be livable and enjoyable.

Principle No.4

Explore your aesthetic through playfulness, and NEVER take yourself too seriously.

Always be willing to try a new design style, artifact, or way of living in your space. Our homes should be full of play and laughter. If it doesn’t make you smile, change it up.

“Make mistakes, because they’re absolutely essential. Let it be an exploration inside yourself, and an exploration of how many ways there are to look and feel.”

- Suki Waterhouse

Principle No.5

Don’t let good design get in the way of interesting design.

Never stick with a thing just because “it works.” Sometimes the baby needs to go out with the bathwater.
